Making Money
Graphics
If you are any good at making graphics infact even if you can make the most basic of graphics then this is a money source for you. Firstly you need access to a photo editoring programme. The programme you have will restrict the complexity and quality of pictures you can produce. You can make pictures of differing qualities in any program from the lower levels Paint to the highest levels Adobe Photoshop. How good you personal pictures are will of course factor the amount you can charge the public for them. If all you are able to do is write some text on to a picture you are at VERY most looking at earning 1-5k per pic and that is if you are lucky. If though you have the ability to merge pictures, fade, add backgrounds etc then your prices can rise dramatically. The highest level/quality of per pics are called 'professional' this is when they are of a quality that you would expect of someone being paid to make them. Many people mislabel themselves as 'professionals' when in reality they are not. If you wouldn't hand out your real life cash then its not professional. If you would like to see examples of professional graphics which command a minimum price of $5mil on Horseland (well actually for these you would be charged $10mil but from other graphic makers prices for pics of similar standard start at $5mil) have a look at footfoolscreations.co.uk my own personal graphic site. If you are not confident making graphics I suggest you find another way of making money!

Layouts
Layouts are very similar to graphics in that many players have the ability to produce either basic, ok or good layouts. You then also have an elite group who can make superb or 'professional' layouts which command higher prices. For a very basic layout you would be looking to charge $10k. if there is a scroll box (with mediocre graphics included) maybe a couple of million $s, mediocre graphics with an imap your looking at $5mil+. If though the whole layout is of exceptional quality you can look to charge what you want (within reason) but you need to be able to consistently produce only the best quality of designs. (examples again at footfoolscreations.co.uk). Do not be surprised for some designers to be asking $50mil+ easy for one of the more complex designs.

Buying&SellingHorses
Of course you can simply make money from selling horses. You can either buy a horse cheap and sell it on as fast as possible at a profit or you can buy/breed a horse train it on and then sell it at a potentially bigger profit. If you are looking to sell horses for profit here are some useful things to keep in mind:
- Do not permantly brand as if you do the price will dramatically reduce.
- Look to trade the most popular breeds as there will be more potential buyers
- Do not buy geldings as on Horseland they will make no money or profit.
- Don't buy anything too old, the younger the better!
- Advertise the horse. Use the talk advertise boards and also the club boards appropriate to its breed (never post the same message more than 3 times on a club board though)

MakingBids
Now how often have I received bids of $1,000 on 50k horses. Most of the time I won't even acknowledge it with a msg but sometimes I do and if I am slightly blunt in my wording I apologise BUT I am never going to sell any of my horses for that sort of money no matter how much of a nice person you are. I am not a charity and therefore I want to make a profit on my horses. Also remember if a horse has a stud fee of lets say $10k you can reasonably expect the price to be FAR HIGHER so don't insult the owners intelligence by bidding anywhere near the stud fee never mind below it!!! Currently for a pure non ob horse with good lines you should be looking to pay $1mil for every 1k in points it has (see horses section!).

TransferringHorses
If you want to give a mate a horse for free or you want to transfer a horse to another of your accounts. ALWAYS put the horse up for 'bid only' this way you can be safe in the knowledge that no one can simply buy the horse without you accepting beforehand even if they are willing to pay $1bil!
BACK TO THE TOP Training
Are you good at entering shows? If so agree a price per class to enter someone else's horses in shows. around $30-$100 is an acceptable price. (some people charge $1k a class but get very little business) Try and enter shows that are running the next day as then the points will stack up far quicker. Also if you keep the horse overnight the player points will be added to your account total not theirs unless you train immediately and sell back before the shows run. Also try and enter free classes where ever possible as this gives you more profit! they should sell you the horse for $0 and then you will see it back to them for the agreed training price. Make sure they have fed, vetted and shod it before you buy it otherwise charge them extra. You can also train by points but with points so changeable currently its wiser to change by classes.

Tickets - Premi players only
If you are a premium player you can buy one set each of horse and dog tickets each month. If you don't wish to use them for yourself you can sell them to other players. The average attainable prices for each horse ticket is $1mil whereas for dog tickets its $500k. You will often find people advertising in talk looking for tickets.

RunningShows - Premi players only
If you are a premium player you are able to set up one show per a week, this can be either a dog or horse show. You have to pay to set up the show but this is a nominal amount. On creating the show you can set an entry fee of between $0-20, obviously if you set it at $0 then you will make absolutely no money from the show, on the other hand if you set it at $20 then you will receive that amount for every entry in every class, so say you had 10 entries in each of your 100 classes thats 1000 entries at $20 so a total of $20,000 in entry fees which you will receive. You can't make huge amounts from running shows but its better than nothing.

Boarding - Premi players only
If you are a premium player you can choose to allow players to board at your stables. You can also choose how much they pay. It costs you $7 a week to feed any horses that are in your stables so basically any fee you charge must be $7+ of course it needs to be higher than that as you need to consider the time it takes you to feed the horses etc. Different people charge different prices. some charge as low as $10 whilst others will charge $1,000. The trick is to find a balance of how many boarders you have in your stable, the lower the fee the more you have etc! It is very easy to set the price too low and then you find yourself over run with boarders and it therefore then takes forever to feed everyone's horses each day. I think a reasonable fee is somewhere between $100 and $250.

PayingForServices
TRAINING. You should sell the horse to the trainer for $0 (sell them the horse as i advise above about transferring horses) they will then train the horse. when ready for collection they should put it up for sale at $999999999 and you should bid the agreed training price and they should then accept.
PICTURES. The picture maker should have a money horse. My method is that i will put a sample of the image on the horse and put it up for sale at $999999999 I then wait for the purchaser to bid on the horse. Once you have bid I will place the picture on a second horse or on a hosting site and on accepting the bid will message the buyer the location of the completled image. The buyer then sells me back the horse for $0 by the transfer method.
PAGES. follow the same method as for pictures only just after accepting bid I will email code. I will personally have email ready to send before accepting bid.
How do you know a trainer/picture/page maker is trustworthy? well the best way is to get references. any good trainer/page/picture maker will be more than happy to give you several references so that you can satisfy yourself.
