Important Rules
BannableOffences
The following is taken directly from Horseland, be aware that this IS NOT exhaustive which means there other offences for which you can be banned at HLs discretion:
Horseland staff and Moderators will ban players who swear, cyber, constantly harass, post bad pictures, scam, steal, charge real money, impersonate Horseland staff, threaten people who enter their shows (Private Shows), log into banned accounts, or use scripts. We have players of all ages, we will ban anything that young children shouldn't have to come in contact with. We will also delete the descriptive information of any horse or player that we find inappropriate.
Also Horseland Moderators have the power to temporarily 'boot' players from the game for a number of offenses. The types of things that Mods may boot players for include, but are not limited to, harrassment, scamming, flooding the TALK boards, cybering, bad language, slander, impersonating Horseland Staff, etc. It it up to the Moderator whether to boot or ban or simply warn a player if they are doing something wrong
If you are at any point banned be it by a moderator OR HL staff member you will be stopped from logging on to ANY account be that the one that was banned or any others. To be unbanned you must email HL at help@horseland.com with the ban code that comes up when you try to log on. Emailing them does not mean you will automatically be unbanned it will depend entirely on your offence.

Hacking
Don't give your login and password details to anyone even to make a page for you etc as there are so many people out there who you can't trust. These people will take advantage and will hack you! Pages can be created by emailing you code and then you copy and paste the code into the box at the bottom of your home page its that easy!
On your page if you are going to put up personal info be very careful what you put up not only from a hacking aspect but just a general security aspect for yourself as you never know who may be on the page.
Password changer. make sure this question isn't very obvious eg 'what is the name of my horse' and you have the name of your horse on your page. the same goes for your login name make it something people wont be able to guess.
If you can make your password something like a code which no one will ever be able to work out fantastic but you can always remember of course.
If you are going to put your email address on your page make sure that email account password again is nothing obvious as this is another way of getting your password and hacking you. Best way is not to give your email out to anyone.
Now the best account on HL is of course a Premi as this allows you to make shows, board your own horse, as well as try to become a club prezzie.
The easiest way to buy a premi is to upgrade your current account this is also most definetly the safest method as well.
Some people chose to buy premis off other players though and here is when you have to be careful as the end results is normally you just being scammed out of a lot of money. The players often advertise on Talk claiming their premi is for sale. you then bid on a money horse for vast amounts ($$millions) and then you buy the horse. this is normally when one of two things happen. 1) You then are given no account details whats soever, you have just bought a pretty much worthless horse for a large amount of money which you will never see again. 2) You are given the password and login BUT NOT the password changer. The result is normally that you log in move your horses and some of your money there then the old owner logs back on changes the password and therefore nicks all of your money and horses.
If you really can't buy a premi by upgrading make sure you trust the person you buy one off HL. it is useful if you have traded with them in the past. If you haven't get LOTS of REFERENCES so that you can check them out and still be VERY wary.
NOTE IT IS AGAINST HL RULES TO SELL AN ACCOUNT YOU CAN BE BANNED FOR ATTEMPTING TO SELL OR BUY AN ACCOUNT

Moderators
You may have noticed that some players have a little badge symbol next to their names. now these players are moderators this means they have special powers given to them by the staff of HL. These powers include the ability to ban members (though they cannot unban members)! Now moderators are there for a reason they are there to help the HL staff to ensure that the rules are not broken (for the basics as to what you can and can't do see the 'Ban Warning' box on the right hand side of the 'News' page or above)
Now remember if a player is causing you problems eg they are sending you dodgey messages DO NOT send a message to a moderator saying 'so in so said im a $%*&' because there is nothing they can do about it they need 100% solid concrete proof, eg screen shots, But these are best sent direct to HL anyway. The moderators will generally just be keeping check on Talk to check players are not posting inappropriate messages only if they actually see these messages can they do anything about it!
If you are going to report anything to a moderator it should be because of one of the following:
A player has an inappropriate word/picture etc on their home page
A player is offering to sell ANYTHING on HL for real life money (you must have solid proof)

OtherScams
There are many scams that people will try and trick you into participating in. Be careful and hopefully you wont fall foul. If you do fall victim remember there is no way that you can get any money/property (horses) back!
- Free Premis - You may be offered the login details to a premi account at no charge. It is most likely that the account concerned is banned so as soon as you try to login you will be banned and will not be able to log on to ANY horseland account from the computer you are using.
- Premi upgrader - someone will offer to upgrade your account to premi status in exchange for HL $ normally. What happens is you pay them and then have to give login details so they can upgrade. They proceed to steal all contents of your account (horses & money).
- Selling premis - will pretend to sell a premi, will take your money and run!
- Fake Login pages - sometimes players will be sneaky and construct pages that look exactly like HL but are hosted elsewhere in order to gain your login details. what normally happens is they create a mock up of the login page which appears after an error. The best way to spot these pages is imply by looking in the address bar. If its the real horseland page it will always have "http://www.horseland.com/" at the beginning of the address without question. If it doesn't DO NOT ENTER your login details as they will be stored by the site creator and used to login to your account and steal its contents.
- Layout makers - the dishonest ones will say they must have your login details they will then steal your account contents. remember login details are not required.
- Picture makers - again the dishonest will say they must have your horse in order to put pic on it. this is incorrect as they could send you photo so you can stick it up. If you sell them horse they will 99.999% of the time steal the horse.
- vote buttons. A new 'trick' is to use a vote button which you can place on your page that when pressed will as long as the player clicking is a premi will add a vote to your total in a club (presuming they not already voted of course!) well anyway this is not allowed. No voting buttons that link directly in to the voting system other than those of course on the club pages are NOT ALLOWED, they are considered cheating/scamming etc and so therefore you can be booted or banned for having one on your page! so as a hint DONT!
There are other scams but these are the main ones. Just remember if something seems to good to be true it probably is therefore don't risk your money/horses/account. Shortcuts are never worth it so always remember to be sensible.

StolenHorses
This is a common problem due to whatever reasons a horse you owned ends up in the ownership of another person when you didn't want that to happen. This can happen for a number of reasons but at the end of the day you have to question yourself why it happened. Horseland staff WILL NOT RETURN a horse to a player. The only way a horse can move account is if someone else accessed the account (99.99999% of the time this second person had the correct login details for whatever reason) or the horse was willingly sold to them (includes selling to another person for th purpose of training/breeding etc). Whatever the reason the horse left your account once it has left there is nothing you can do to get the horse back. HL will not return the hrose to you because it is near impossible for them to know when a horse has been 'stolen' as it is one person's word against another especially when they can only be stolen if you were silly enough to give your login details to another person or you willingly sold the horse to the person concerned. My HINT OF THE DECADE is never give your login details to anyone an never sell a horse or put up a horse up for sale that I wouldn't mind not being in my ownership. This is also why I do all my training myself!!
